Starting with Pixel 6, the world’s most inclusive smartphone camera,* we are working to ensure everyone is seen how they truly are.

In 2019, I was asked to be an internal creative consultant for a large music streaming service. The goal was to help up-skill and inspire them to produce the best YouTube ads.

In the past, I would edit their ads through our production company, that I was leading, provide ad-hoc consultation support, and lead creative workshops.

Impact: When they decided to launch their new music streaming platform in EMEA, they reached out to me to help them create unique and inspiring YouTube Ads.

The CMO of Topshop revealed to us that she was planning to film a '90s-style magazine show in their Oxford Street flagship store in front of a live audience. The content and distribution plans were rather "loose" so we supported them with a Google Zoo Machine Sprint to help them determine the best approach.

Impact: Unfortunately, the final video edits did not align with the brand’s vision.

Within three days, I stepped in with my vendor team to re-edit the episodes in line with YouTube best practices and strengthened our relationship with the brand.

In 2021, my production company was commissioned to work with Mind UK, the largest national charity for Mental Health in the UK. Mind had recently launched Mind TV, a platform built to provide scaled mental health support for the most vulnerable and underprivileged people in West London.

Unfortunately, the videos failed to engage young viewers since they were filmed on webcams by the practitioners themselves.

Brief: Repurpose lo-fi webcam training videos filmed during Covid lockdown and were failing to retain viewers’ attention.

Approach: Due to the lockdown it was not possible to film brand new videos. So I led a team of creative strategists, designers, and editors.

Deliverables: 13+ re-edited videos, complete with sound editing and sound design, full brand identity for mind TV, editable After Effect files and new brand guidelines. In addition to this, I provided creative consultation to the team.

Brief: In 2021, Cannes Lion launched The Brief. The Brief invited LIONS Members across the world to come together to create a progress-driving brand identity and creative campaign for the World Woman Foundation. The goal was to positively impact the future of Gen-Z women and girls to become entrepreneurs.

Impact: As the team lead, the task was far from simple. We had less than four weeks and 25 teams to create a campaign to help the World Woman Foundation achieve its goal. Our work will be promoted on all Lion’s channels.

We also received guidance and feedback from judges such as Nicky Bullard, CCO, MRM; Wesley ter Haar, Founder, Media.Monks; Josy Paul, Chairman, BBDO India and Mauricio Sarmiento CCO, Leo Burnett Bogotá.

Role: Creative Director, Editor, Producer, Camera Operator (End to End Production)

Brief: I filmed and edited a documentary about sickle cell, to help raise awareness of the disease and to promote clinical trials.

The new drug was tipped to be the first cure to help sufferers, (mainly those of African, Middle Eastern, Asian and Mediterranean descent).

Sickle Cell survivors do not live past their 40s, yet uptake on the trials was low. We filmed this documentary to encourage and educate sufferers about the trial.

Impact: The film increased participation in clinical trials and the drug Oxbryta (fka GBT440) has been granted accelerated approval by the FDA (Dec 2021).

Goal: Film promotional videos to promote the company and premium personal development courses

Executive Coach - Abi Eniola from Maynard Leigh Associates talks about the key outcomes of our flagship course - Presenting with Presence.

Produced and edited video content for the editorial team at Huffington Post UK, from pre-production (research and script-writing), to post-production (editing with After Effects) to drive social and website traffic.

Acted as a production assistant on set of big campaigns (Active).

Created wireframes for Engadget, and information architecture for a new recipe site for Huffington Post. Completed under the guidance of the Head of UX

This was a mid-career 2-month placement to learn advanced UX & Production techniques in tech.

In 2018, this major automotive brand had paused its YouTube advertising efforts for over a year due to industry-wide challenges and a need for more engaging ad content.

To support the brand’s return, I facilitated a creative workshop with their team and creative agency, focusing on producing compelling, audience-targeted content. Following this my production team then edited the advert which was originally a TVC into a made for YouTube ad.

To ensure localisation for the UK market I personally sourced a British voice-over artist to enhance the ad’s relevance and engagement.

Impact

The revitalised partnership strengthened our collaboration, leading the brand to significantly increase its investment in YouTube advertising the following year (seven figures).

I self-funded, filmed, edited, and produced a web series, about gentrification in Peckham, with a friend from Vice in 2018. The series was geared to a multicultural Gen-Z/Millennial audience.

At the time, the media was not talking about gentrification which was causing a racial divide between residents. We decided to do something about it and made the guerilla-style doc ourselves.

Impact

We interviewed high-profile residents, such as award-winning actress, Kelechi Okafor.

The series received press attention from music journalist Emma Finley (i-D, Hypebeast), and the documentary was featured at the Tate Modern.
